Founder Of : Sunrise Gems
Nomalungelo Stofile is a first-generation diamantaire and the founder of Sunrise Gems, established in 2015. Noma has received extensive training through the State Diamond Trader Enterprise Development Program. Through The State Diamond Trader enterprise development program Noma received her factory training at KGK Diamonds and was placed at Molefi Letsiki Diamonds for her business development mentorship. Noma marries her previous experience in the Arts and her diamond knowledge and skills to shift the diamond narrative in a more inclusive manner.
Sunrise Gems is a fully licensed diamond beneficiation company trading in ethically sourced natural diamonds from reputable producers and organisations. Each diamond is manufactured to global industry standards and set in custom jewellery for private clients. Sunrise Gems aims to curate diamond jewellery and experiences that celebrate the story of African brilliance one diamond at a time. Sunrise Gems is currently one of five companies selected as a De Beers Beneficiation Project Member.

Wellington Mpandi is a Co-Founder & Director of Richwell Diamond Cutting Works and Ramsden Diamonds based in Parktown Johannesburg specializing in polished trading, cutting & polishing of rough diamonds. An active member of the CSR for the SA Diamond Dealers’ Club.

Christopher Pillay is a first generation Diamantaire and the owner of BOJ Diamonds. Christopher has over 10 years experience in financial service industry in various positions. From Banking, Finance, Insurance & Investments. Christopher thrives in sales environment and is passionate about creating and closing deals. Christopher was introduced to the diamond industry from one of his business clients, And became passionate about investment diamonds as an alternative investment strategy to add to his clients investment portfolios. Diamonds became a passion has a real commodity asset to secure a portion of clients wealth. Which lead to christopher pursuing diamonds as a full-time business. Christopher has finished training and obtained certification in rough diamond evaluation by HARRY OPPENHEIMER Diamond Training School in Johannesburg South Africa.
BOJ Diamonds started in the sale of loose polished diamonds for affluent clientele for investment purposes. BOJ diamonds as further grown in the industry to provide services of rough diamond evaluation, sales off rough diamonds & local diamond and jewelry manufacturing.

Andile Gcaba is the founder and owner of Vivid Gems. He is originally from KwaZulu Natal and started his journey in diamonds in 2015. His introduction to the diamond trade was through the State Diamond Trader’s Enterprise Development Program. He has acquired relevant training locally and abroad in order to further develop expertise in diamonds and diamond processing methods. Vivid Gems is a diamond and custom jewelry manufacturer.

Khathutshelo Meregi is first-generation diamantaire and Founder and Director of Neluwa Meregi Trading (PTY) Ltd. Neluwa Meregi Trading (PTY) Ltd is a Diamond dealing and manufacturing company based in Rosebank. The name is made up of the first two letters of his childrens names, namely Neo,Lufuno and Watshilidzi. Neluwa Meregi Trading specialise in all diamond shapes, cuts and sizes. The vision of the company is to make diamonds accessible all and aims to be the leader in the diamond sector and to get the involvement of the mining communities in the production and the business of Diamond itself.

Lehlohonolo Maraba is a first generation Diamantaire. House of Phoenix director. A young enthusiast and optimist who believes in breaking historical barriers in innovative ways. Passionate about the diamond industry and wants to change people’s perception of it. Successfully completed a three-year enterprise development programme with the State Diamond Trader. My aim is to impart knowledge and skills to new entrants.
House of Phoenix is a cutting and polishing company based in Bedfordview. We specialise in conflict-free diamonds of all shapes, sizes, cuts and various colours. In line with the company name, our vision is to be the driver of transformation in the diamond industry. Our aim is to be the leader in the diamond industry by providing enhanced services, meaningful relationships and profitability. House of Phoenix is an award nominee by MQA in 2021.
